Laurieston Community Bowling Club, West Lothian
All four sides of the bowling green required removal and replacement of artificial grass and wooden frames of bankings which after 20 years were showing signs of wear and tear. These had to be lifted, raised and replaced along with up to three feet of existing turf from the edges which had sunk over time.

This extended the life of this public sports facility for at least another 20 years, thus improving health and wellbeing of local residents.
£10,000 was awarded to this small but significant local project, which demonstrates a key element of the Scottish Landfill Communities Fund, whereby local communities are able to achieve their aspirations through funding not easily accessed elsewhere.
