Hillhouse, Lancashire

At the time of takeover, Hillhouse had around 400 employees. Presently, there are about 2,800 people involved and working on the site.

Under the stewardship of NPL, circa £200 million is currently planned by companies presently on site. Wyre Power was recently acquired to facilitate and accelerate the delivery of our Hydrogen plant.

In November 2015, the Hillhouse site was awarded Enterprise Zone status as a recognition of the national significance of the site. With this award, the benefits of accelerated planning consents, advanced capital allowances and full rates relief will enable NPL and its partners to complete this showcase development in an accelerated manner.
